I would like my child to begin Suzuki violin / viola lessons

You are about to embark on a truly wonderful and rewarding musical journey with your child! As with everything, the more preparation you can do in advance, the better.

Step 1: Read Nurtured by Love by Shinichi Suzuki. This book is available on Amazon, and will give you valuable insight into the Suzuki Method philosophy.

Step 2: Observation. Contact Louisa Stuber about coming to observe group lessons at the Little Venice Suzuki Group. The more observation you do with your child, the more you will begin to see how the method works.

Step 3: Find an individual teacher for your child. The best place to look is on the London Suzuki Group website.

Step 4: Listen to the Suzuki CD / downloaded recording. Start listening to Suzuki volume 1 for violin or viola depending on your chosen instrument. This is available on CD with the book from Amazon, or on iTunes. You and your child will need to listen to this recording every day as part of the Suzuki programme.

Step 5: Enrol.

NB: You must already be having individual lessons with a registered Suzuki teacher for individual lessons before enrolling with the Little Venice Suzuki Group. If this is the case, please contact Louisa Stuber.
